Precision Engineering, Personal Connection: Welcoming FSI to Topas

While Topas is first and foremost a technology driven company focused on cutting edge solutions to aerosol test needs, it is good to remember that at the end of the day - it will be human beings operating the equipment who must be confident in what they are doing.

Toward this end, we had a very good, if somewhat intense, Factory Acceptance Test in late May in Dresden for our new customers - FSI (Filtration Systems Inc) in Waukesha Wisconsin. Two days were spent going over the test rig in great detail (hardware and software) and running tests together (establishing baselines and confirming operation).

This will be followed by a Site Acceptance Test in which these processes will be gone over again and confirmed at our customers. Such work can be demanding, especially when done in a new time zone on a new continent, but this effort is essential to education and support - in addition to building a stronger more direct personal bond with our customers.

But, as necessary as training and hard work are, it is also important to take a moment and step away and see some of the sights, even briefly after a long days - like taking a stroll along the Elbe and seeing the skyline of Dresden's Old City just before sunset.
